Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
